Background
A common misconception about successful designers is that they all draw incredibly well. While having some skill at drawing is helpful, you don’t need it to be successful in design. There are many different tips and tricks to get around any drawing shortfall. The main point of drawing within design is being able to get a concept out of your head and into a form where others can see it.
Brief
We are required to use the series of photos submitted in Assessment 1 and produce a folio of architectural concept drawings. We also need to provide a rationale to explain our choice of our final drawing technique.
Details
1. Research the 4 drawing techniques (line, colour, texture and value).
2. From the 4 drawings choose 4 photos that best matches with these 4 techniques
3. Using the photos that you have taken create a folio of development sketches for each technique. One demonstrating 5 minute, 10 minutes and 15 minutes.
4. Scan your development sketches to be used in a template. You are required to use one per presentation package
5. Obtain written feedback from teacher on your drawings before finalising
6. The final step is to utilise the provided template to present your research, photos, drawings and disclaimer for submission.
